Catch up time.

Well it is time for me to tell you what we are doing now and not try to reconstruct every day; since I was slow getting the blog up.  You know that mine and Zoey's memory is not that good,,,,,,,,,,,,,, especially Zoey's.

We got to Brother Brians and Sister Brenda's Thursday afternoon.  They grilled great looking steaks.  When Brother Brian started putting them on the grill and I only counted 4, I knew who was going to be left out.  Pour me and Zoey, sad, so very very sad.

The weather here is wonderful, even with me and Zoey wearing fur coats.  Brother Brian has " chickens". I did not know that anyone had chickens cept for Col. Sanders  Saturday we had a party with a bunch of Brother Brian and Sister Brenda.s friends.  We celebrated Mommy and Brother Brian's birthday.  We celebrated Mommy's again on Sunday and we will celebrate Brother Brians on the 5th of Sept.  We had a great time at the party and everybody just loved me and Zoey.

On Monday Sister Brenda had to go to work so Brother Brian and Mommy and Daddy went to Sunset Crater and Wapaki National Park.  They said they had a good time but it was very hot there.  They were tired when they got home and did not want to play with me.  Last night it was real cool and we build a fire outside.  I think it was in the 40's.  I think Daddy is going to try and put some pictures on this computer, of course he doesn't know any more about computers than me and Zoey.  I hope he makes it!  I will update you tomorrow, I hope.  Good nite.

Off to Tucumari New Mexico

Hi this is Zoey, Dusty is sleeping and at last I get a chance to tell my side of the trip.  I must admit that staying in a place that I can't pronounce is not that exciting.  It was scary when we got here because the campground did not look safe.  It was a Good Sam"s Campground but they allow people to stay year round.  There was some scary looking campers and DOGS in this place.  All we wanted to do was spend the night and get out of there.  I knew Daddy would take care of us, he had a mean looking walking stick.  After thinking about the area we were in we left and went back up the Interstate to a KOA for the night.  It was safer looking, but we had to make camp in the dark.  Poor, poor Daddy.  Good nite!

OK Oaklahoma here we come

Well we traveled right through Ark. stopping only for gas and for me and Zoey and Mommy to go to the restroom.  We have been real good traveling, Mommy is the one that always has to go.  I don't know why Daddy did not want to stay in Ark.  He must be scared of them hogs.

We finally made it to Oklahoma and made camp for the night.  We are in Muskogee, Daddy wanted to stay here so we could go to the Trail of Tears Museum.  Daddy is always wanting to go to some museum.  The next morning we went to the Museum and it was a very interesting place.  We went to the Cherokee Village but I did not see one dog there, except Zoey.  I am tired of seeing Zoey, I would like to see someone else.  Zoey is always trying to chew on my ears.  If she does not stop, I am going to bite her tail off.  When we got back to the camp site we got ready for the next day.  Another long day in the cage with you know who!  Good nite.

Goinng to see the KING!

Tonight we are staying in a town called Memphis   We got  to our campsite early.  This is a really nice place, it is right next to a big house called Graceland.  I looked out the window and I did not see any dogs up at the big house but I did hear Mom and Dad talking about a man named Elvis that lives there.  They said he has been spoted all around town.  I think he has some type of hound dog.  He got all upset one time cause his dog peeded on his blue suede shoes.  Sometimes Daddy tells Zoey she ain't nothing but a hound dog but she anit never peed on Daddys shoes.  That would probably be the end of Zoey.

Well I just found out that Mom and Dad are going out tonight to eat at a place called B B Kings on Beale Street. It is some place where they serve ribs and  play something called Jaz.  That would be mine and Zoey's kind of place.  When they got back I heard Moma and Daddy talking about someone at the table next to them that was from Australia.  They mostly talked to Moma.  Daddy, he don't know that lanquage.  They even took pictures of each other.  They'ed only met for a few minutes and they were hugging each other good bye.  Daddy wished him well trying to find the King.  Mommy and Daddy musta had a good time.  They did not bring us poor dogs one bone.  How sad, how very, very sad.

We Leave, August 18, 2011

Me and Zoey were so excited we were going west.  I thought we were already west.  Our address is West Columbia.  Mom and Dad have been packing and loading all morning

Here we go.. Wagons  Ho!
Birmingham here we come.  I did not know that I was going west in a wire cage with Zoey.  Please tell me that is not so.  I guess I will just sleep all the way.  Heck, I did not know this was such a small cage.  Man, I did not know this was such a small cage.  Going through Atlanta all I could see was Dad's white knucles griping the steering wheel and Mom saying " stay on I-20, stay on I-20.

At last we arrived  at the campground.  We are too tired to care that we are camping beside a lake.  We just want to go to sleep.  I sure hope all four of us can sleep in that bed.  Zoey thinks Mom and Dad shouuld sleep on the floor.  Good nite!

HERE WE GO POTNER!

Sorry for the delay posting.  Dusty and Zoey have been barking every day wanting to know when I was going to type for them.  They wanted to try and do it themselves but I told them to keep their paws off my computer!  Please don't hold me responsible for anything they may write.  This is through the eyes of two dogs!
